FEDERICO M. MAZZOLANIHonorary Chairman
Civil Engineer, is Emeritus Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Doctor Honoris Causa at Technical University of Bucharest (1995) and at Polytechnical University of Timisoara (1996). Charles Massonnet award (2001). Member of the Royal Academy of Engineers of Spain (since 2000). Member of the Academy of Engineers of Czech Republic (since 2004). Chairman of several International Committees on seismic design, steel and aluminium structures, composite steel-concrete structures, as well as chairman of several international conferences. His teaching activities include, among others, the courses of Theory and Design of Steel Structures, Structural Design and Advanced Metallic Structures in the School of Engineering. As for scientific research, he coordinated and participated in several national and international research projects in the fields of steel and aluminium structures, earthquake engineering, structural restoration and submerged floating tunnels.
Author of several books and book chapters, he published more than 1200 papers in journals and conference proceedings, 50 monographs and 36 books (27 in English, 2 in Chinese).

RAFFAELE LANDOLFOChair
PhD, Civil Engineer, is Full Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Former Head of Department of Structures for Engineering and Architecture. His teaching activities include, among others, the courses of Theory and Design of Steel Structures in the School of Engineering and Structural Design in the School of Architecture. He is currently Chairman of the ECCS Technical Committee n.13 Seismic Design, Convenor of WG2 – Steel and Composite Structures within CEN/TC250/SC8 Committee as well as Chairperson of UNI/CT 021 “Structural Engineering” at UNI, Italian National Standards Body. He is also Chairman of some international conferences. As for scientific research, he coordinated and participated in several national and international research projects in the field of seismic design of steel structures, cold-formed members, lightweight steel construction, connections and life-cycle engineering. Author of several books and book chapters, he published more than 500 scientific papers, mostly on international journals, serving also the Editorial Boards of many scientific journals. He is also co-inventor of four patents in the field of steel constructions.
BEATRICE FAGGIANOCo-Chair
PhD, Civil Engineer, is Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”.
Her teaching activities include, among others, the courses of Timber Engineering and Monitoring of structures and infrastructures in the School of Engineering.
She is currently member of the following scientific committees: ICOMOS Timber Italy (Intern. council for monuments and sites), ITA (Intern. Tunneling Association) WG11 Immersed and Floating Tunnels, ECCS TC11/WG6: Steel-Timber Composite Structures. She is also member of organizing and scientific committees and co-chair of some International Conferences.
As for scientific research, she coordinated and participated in some national and international research projects in the field of Submerged Floating Tunnel (SFT), Timber structures, Steel structures, Earthquake engineering, vulnerability of historical and monumental buildings against exceptional actions.
She published more than 270 scientific papers, in journals, conference proceedings, technical documents, serving also the Editorial Boards.
She is responsible of national and international trilateral agreements on SFT.
